Meet the speaker:Eric Hoppenbrouwer is the Executive Director of the Business Voice Political Committee of Florida's Space Coast. He earned his undergraduate degree from Florida State University in 2009 and then joined the US Army in 2010 as an All-Source Intelligence Analyst. While a member of the 101st Airborne Division's 4th Brigade Combat Team\, he was deployed to Afghanistan and received several awards and medals during his tour of duty. He was honorably discharged from the Army and returned to Brevard\, working for a defense contractor on the Space Coast. After earning his Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Master of Arts in Business and Organizational Security Management from Webster University\, he started a consulting firm\, INSURGINT Strategies LLC.Eric was a member of Florida Today's Editorial Advisory Board in 2015 and helped organize their Civility Brevard Project in 2019. He was also a finalist for the LEAD Brevard Four Under Forty Leadership Award in 2016. Eric is active in the community\, serving as the Vice-Chairman of the Brevard County Citizens' Budget Advisory Committee. In addition\, he was a District 4 Representative on the Space Coast Transportation Planning Organization's (SCTPO) Citizen Advisory Committee (CAC) from 2017 to 2019.
